PAOK FC president Ivan Savvidis paid a visit to patients and medical staff at the ‘A’ Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Clinic situated within the AHEPA University Hospital on Monday December 23 to reiterate his support for people with hearing disabilities, almost nine months after a PAOK Action initiative delivered state-of-the-art medical equipment to the hospital.
Fulfilling a personal promise, Ivan Savvidis continues to do everything in his power to back PAOK FC and PAOK Action’s joint efforts to secure a better future for people with hearing impairments.
The PAOK president’s presence today at the hospital after the delivery of state-of-the-art machinery funded by the club, confirmed his full backing and personal interest in helping those with hearing impairments.
During the visit, Savvidis was welcomed by the Director of the Clinic, Dr. Ioannis Konstantinidis, and he had the opportunity to learn in detail about the progress at the Audiology Laboratory, to hear about the needs of the medical staff, as well as to declare his endless willingness to further support those who are living with hearing difficulties on a daily basis.
The state-of-the-art equipment donated allows medical staff to diagnose and treat children and adults with hearing problems, while also enhancing the research work of the clinic, which in collaboration with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is working to improve the prevention and treatment of all kinds of hearing impairments.
Through a combination of PAOK Action’s strategic action plan and Ivan Savvidis personal actions, PAOK FC speaks volumes through its activities to all those who struggle with hearing difficulties and sends an uplifting message of humanity in every direction: dreams come true only when we all fight for them in every way…
